PASS

mural
BRIEF

PASS Bologna is a hospitality and support center that welcomes families of children undergoing long-term hospital treatment. The mural project involved the interior of the accessible entrance ramp leading into the facility.
A functional but emotionally sensitive space used daily by families and young people in fragile situations.

The artwork was dedicated to their adolescent program focused on eating disorders. I had previously painted the exterior of the ramp, so the new intervention needed to stay visually coherent while speaking more directly to the teenagers supported by the program and the emotional challenges they face. The visual narrative also needed to connect with their motto: “We walk extraordinary roads together.”

the idea

I developed a mural built around the metaphor of a shared road,  a continuous path connecting different characters, each facing personal “demons” and obstacles while moving through a growth journey.
The visual language combines symbolic elements and empathetic character design to communicate struggle, support, and progression, while maintaining stylistic continuity with the previously completed exterior mural. The result is an immersive illustrated path that transforms a transitional ramp into a narrative and supportive space.
